Laura Cowan buries the mezuzah overnight in a mixture of sawdust and acid to produce the green patination of this mezuzah. It is then turned several times to achieve the correct colour, which is reminiscent of Eilat stone. The sterling silver bands around this modern mezuzah are inspired by the rings circling the planet Saturn.
All mezuzot include a photocopy scroll. Kosher scrolls are available, starting at $30.
