Seven Species Ketubah

In this Ketubah by Leah Sosewitz, two intricately designed laser cuts depicting the seven species are framed by Leah's richly colored Arabesque motif. The plants of Israel, as described in the Seven Species, represent many things to us, all deeply meaningful to the wedding ceremony and Ketubah. These plants give us nutrition and life, as a new couple aspires to bring new life into this world while building a family. One of the most meaningful plants in the Seven Species is the Grape, on which we bless as wine, during Shabbat's Kiddush. The grape signifies elegance and valor, turning the day of Shabbat to a holy one, and on this Ketubah it symbolizes the divinity of a blessed bond, turning two separate individuals into a family and a home. Background papers reproduced from her own hand-painted originals are available to accent this appealing design in either blues or greens
